Commissioned by SculptureCenter with grant funding by the Queens Council for the Arts
Exhibited at SculptureCenter in 2021
The video portion of this installation displays the dialogue between Sunny and five non-professional actors, who are Thai immigrants living in New York City. They were asked to embody the role of their dead father. They are asked a series of questions to improvise responses to. The videos are accompanied by an array of items that belonged to Wuthichai Leerasanthanah, and were made available to the actors as props to use and wear during the recording of the performances.
